Home & Neighbourhood Waste & Recycling
The City of Beaumont focuses on our waste program being smart, savvy and green. We work hard to do our part for the environment and our community. That is why Beaumont Waste Services encompasses a curbside collection program that includes waste carts, organics carts, and recycling.
The 2024/2025 collection schedule [pdf].
The waste collection schedule runs Monday to Friday, split into two zones. Your household zone has specific dates and changes.
Garbage (grey waste cart) is collected every other week.
Organics (green waste cart) are collected weekly during the summer months and every other week during the winter months, alternating with garbage pickup. Organics moves back to the bi-weekly schedule around the end of October.
Recycling is picked up weekly.
There will be waste pickup on all statutory holidays with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. The rescheduled dates are posted in December.
The 2025/2026 calendar is also available below. Service continues as scheduled under the 2024/2025 calendar until the end of July.
The City of Beaumont has an app to help make your curbside collection easier. View your collection schedule, receive notifications and search for different types of waste to know if it should go in your garbage, organics or recycling.

Did you know that we have yard waste collection bins for residents at the Operations Facility (24130 Township Road 510) available for specific days every week during the heaviest spring and fall yard clean-up time?
Every year Infrastructure provides large bins for residents to drop off additional yard waste. You will be able to bring your yard waste during the following schedule:
*CLOSED ON STAT HOLIDAYS

Not sure something qualifies as yard waste? Search the item in the app, or in the Smart, Savvy, Green’s “Goes Where” tab above.
If you are not able to make it to our facility during the designated times, as a resident of Beaumont you are able to dispose of extra waste at the Leduc & District Waste Management Facility free of charge. Residents are permitted to dispose of an extra 1 tonne (1000 kgs) of household waste per year at the facility. You can also bring yard waste to the Yard Waste Transfer Station in Leduc.
The City of Beaumont offers a curbside collection of large items in the spring. In 2026, large item collection will take place May 25 to 29.

White-block styrofoam is accepted at the Eco Station in Leduc for recycling.
This service enhancement allows residents to drop off limited quantities of styrofoam at the Eco Station for free during regular hours of operation. A mobile processing unit that uses new technology collects the styrofoam from the Eco Station one or two times per month. For full details, check out Leduc’s Eco Station announcement.
The Waste Bylaw helps us move forward towards a smart, savvy and green future. The Bylaw covers a wide range of regulations:
The purpose of this bylaw is to establish terms and conditions for the provision of waste collection and recycling services in the City of Beaumont.
Our annual Recycling Roundup happened Saturday, May 31 from 9 am to 2 pm where residents responsibly disposed of unwanted items at our Operations Facility.
The date for 2026’s Recycling Roundup will be planned in the spring.
