Environmental initiativesNeighbourhoodWaste collection Posted on: July 31, 2026 From August 10 to 21, GFL Environmental, Beaumont’s waste services provider, will conduct a waste audit. Crews will check what’s going into grey waste carts, organic carts and blue recycling bags during regular collection to see how well items are being sorted. This is part of the City’s ongoing effort to improve waste sorting and efficiency, reduce contamination and meet sustainability goals. Here’s what citizens need to know: GFL Environmental will inspect all three waste streams throughout the two week period: grey waste carts, organic carts and blue bag recycling. Zone B audits will happen the week of August 10, and Zone A will occur the week of August 17. Not sure which zone you’re in? If your bins or bags are not collected and have a GFL sticker, it means that improper items were found inside or your bins were too full. Remove the items and set the bins or bags out again on your next scheduled pickup day. GFL staff will be out in neighbourhoods during the audit.
