The days are shorter, the mornings are colder, and the leaves are changing. As fall descends on the City of Beaumont, so do some important events and changes for waste collection as winter approaches.

Brown bag yard waste

The City of Beaumont’s waste contractor will be doing curbside yard waste collection again this year. Put your yard waste into brown compostable bags and leave out during your regular scheduled pick-up during the following times:

  • Zone A pickup: October 12 to 16, 2026
  • Zone B pickup: October 19 to 23, 2026

Fall yard waste drop-off

Residents can drop off yard waste at the City of Beaumont Operations Facility Monday to Friday from 1 to 4 pm (except on stat holidays) until October 30. This is a perfect option if you can’t get all your yard waste ready in time for the brown bag curbside collection or if you have larger amounts of yard waste to get rid of.

Bi-weekly organics collection resumes in November

Green cart (organics) waste collection moves to an every-other-week collection schedule for winter starting in November.

Zone A: Starts the week of November 2-6
Zone B: Starts the week of November 9-13

New recycling changes in effect

Beaumont residents can now add more items into their blue bag for weekly collection! Starting October 1, the recycling program expanded and many new materials are now accepted, including:

  • Glass containers
  • Foam packaging
  • Flexible plastics
  • Paper laminates
  • Empty aerosol containers
