Recreation & Activities Annual Events Canada Day
July 1, 2026: Beaumont’s Canada Day celebration features a daytime event at the Beaumont Sport and Recreation Centre and fireworks at 11 pm.
Please note that Canada Day festivities have been moved from Four Seasons Park to the Beaumont Sport and Recreation Centre (BSRC). Due to the rain Beaumont experienced in June, the daytime event is moving to provide a more comfortable experience for residents.
Join the City of Beaumont for Canada Day, a free, family-friendly celebration filled with activities, entertainment and food. Date: July 1, 2026 Time: 11 am to 5 pm Venue: Beaumont Sport and Recreation Centre (BSRC)
Fireworks launch at 11 pm.
This year’s Canada Day fireworks experience is bigger than ever.
Fireworks will launch at 11 pm from the Beaumont & District Agricultural Society (BADAS) Fairgrounds, delivering a larger display reaching approximately 750 feet in the air — more than double the height of previous years.
If you live west of 50 Street, there is a good chance you’ll be able to enjoy the fireworks right from your home. The updated location allows for enhanced safety requirements while creating improved visibility across the community.
Please note: BADAS Fairgrounds will be closed to the public for safety purposes. For residents looking for a dedicated viewing experience, use the recommendations below:
Getting to Canada Day is easy, residents are encouraged to plan ahead and choose the option that works best for them since there is limited on-site parking at the BSRC.
Please use one of the following options:
Two designated park-and-ride locations will be available to help residents get to and from the event. Service will run from 10:45 am to 5:30 pm.
Residents are encouraged to walk, bike or scooter to the event whenever possible.
The following food trucks will be onsite at the BSRC between 11 and 5 pm:
Know before you go!
Time: The main event at the BSRC runs from 11 am to 5 pm.
Fireworks location: Fireworks are launching from BADAS fairgrounds, but viewing locations are at various spots around the City (including your own house, if you live west of 50 Street!).
Beer garden: Due to an earlier ending event, there are no beer gardens this year.
No. The BADAS Fairgrounds will be closed to the public during the fireworks display and there is no on-site viewing permitted for safety reasons. Residents looking for a dedicated viewing experience are encouraged to visit one of the recommended viewing locations across Beaumont.
The fireworks experience has been redesigned for 2026 to deliver a bigger, higher show reaching approximately 750 feet in the air (compared to approximately 350 feet previously), creating improved visibility across Beaumont.
The previous launch location at Don Sparrow Lake can no longer safely accommodate the required fireworks safety zone due to nearby residential development. The new location supports safety requirements while creating more opportunities for residents to enjoy the show from across the community.
There is no beer garden at this year’s event due to the earlier end time.
Attendance data from previous years showed a significant drop-off after 6 pm. The new 11 am – 5 pm schedule concentrates programming during peak attendance hours and allows families to enjoy the full event.
Canada Day in Beaumont is open to everyone and offers an opportunity for residents to come together in celebration of culture, diversity and national pride in a welcoming outdoor setting.
The event proceeds rain or shine. Fireworks will only be cancelled in the event of high winds, lightning or a fire ban. Social media channels will have real-time updates.
