New Beaumont Fire Services training facility enhances training and skills

A new Fire Services training facility will enhance the skill development of Beaumont’s firefighters.

Located at the City’s public works yard, this facility allows Beaumont Fire Services members to complete live fire and scenario-based training to imitate real-life emergency situations and ensures firefighters are trained safely and effectively.

The facility, which is built from four sea cans, gives Beaumont firefighters the opportunity to train with:

  • a burn room
  • exterior and interior stairs
  • windows
  • sprinkler props
  • confined space entries
  • home interiors

Previously, Fire Services members had to travel to other locations for live fire training. The City of Beaumont facility offers control over future training costs and scheduling and enables Fire Services to create training that’s as realistic as possible. This is critical for the safety of our Fire Services members and the public, as a firefighter will instinctively revert to their training during a high-risk event.
