For the week of April 4 through April 10, 2022 the Beaumont RCMP responded to 49 calls for service. Some of the calls for service included: 911 calls, assault, assistance to Canadian police (non-RCMP) agency, failure to comply, false alarms, Fire Prevention Act, fraud, harassing communications, indecent act, items lost/found, Liquor Act, Mental Health Act, mischief-damage to property, motor vehicle insurance coverage, impaired-alcohol, moving traffic, other moving and non-moving traffic, sexual assault, sexual interference, suspicious person/vehicle, theft under or equal $5,000 from a motor vehicle, traffic collisions, Trespass Act, uttering threats and wellbeing checks.
The Beaumont RCMP conducted 26 traffic stops, resulting in four charges and three warnings under the Traffic Safety Act.
Please be on the lookout for suspicious activity around vehicles. The RCMP is getting numerous complaints of stolen catalytic convertors. On average, it can take less then one minute to steal a catalytic convertor. For your safety, do not engage the suspects. Instead, call 911.
