For the week of January 31 through February 6, 2022, the Beaumont RCMP responded to 52 calls for service. Some of the calls for service included animal calls, assault, break and enter, failure to stop or remain at an accident scene, dangerous driving, false alarms, fraud, identity fraud, items lost/found, Mental Health Act, mischief, suspicious person/vehicle, theft from mail, theft of vehicle, theft over $5,000, traffic collisions, uttering threats and wellbeing checks.
The Beaumont RCMP conducted 35 traffic stops, resulting in one charge under the Traffic Safety Act.
Operation Cold Start
Operation Cold Start was a success, with over 400 vehicles checked. There were vehicles found that were unlocked and idling. Beaumont RCMP remind the community again to make sure you lock your vehicle while they are started and unattended.
