For the week of December 27, 2021 through January 2, 2022, the Beaumont RCMP responded to 29 calls for service. Some of the calls for service included Liquor Act, suspicious person/vehicle, being unlawfully in a dwelling, impaired, mischief property, disturbing the peace, extortion without firearms, family orders, assistance to the public, moving traffic, other moving traffic, roadside suspensions and traffic collisions.
The Beaumont RCMP conducted 35 traffic stops, resulting in one charge and two warnings under the Traffic Safety Act.
RCMP members conducted Alberta Checkstops over the holiday season. Good news, no impaired driving charges were laid, but the officers did have several Immediate Roadside Sanctions. Beaumont RCMP would like to thank the community for being responsible drivers and not drinking and driving.
The RCMP will be holding a town hall in February to get your opinion on policing priorities for the upcoming year. More info to come in the next few weeks.
