As part of a new private development on the west side of Range Road 243, Raywalt Construction has been hired to install a new water line that will run underneath 53 Avenue, from 67 Street to the west across RR 243. This construction will provide water for the future residents in the area. Most of this work will be done without disturbing the road surface, but a small section of road must be opened within the intersection of 53 Avenue and 67 Street.

To protect public safety and mitigate any issues with traffic entering Eaglemont from RR 243 via 53 Avenue, 53 Avenue between RR 243 and 67 Street will be completely closed, and the south half of the 67 Street intersection will be closed. Residents on 67 Street south will be able to detour using the newly-constructed road connecting back to Rue Eaglemont to the south. Residents on 67 Street north will continue to have two lane traffic available, but the lane widths will be slightly reduced.

This construction work is scheduled for October 25 to November 5, weather permitting. Residents of the 67 Street area between RR 243 and Rue Eaglemont will receive a paper notice directly from Raywalt Construction outlining detours.
