Water restrictions in effect for Beaumont

A mandatory water ban on all non-essential water use is now in effect until further notice.

Due to the extreme heat and high water consumption, the reservoirs that serve the city are not able to refill at a rate sufficient to maintain normal water levels. Municipalities in the region are following the Capital Region Southwest Water Services Commission’s direction in regards to safe water conservation.

Residents are asked to take the following measures to reduce their water use:

  • Effective immediately, no lawn watering of any kind is permitted for the next three days. Beginning July 2, residents may follow an odd/even watering schedule based on their address and the date. For example, odd-numbered homes can water their lawns on odd-numbered days.
  • Refrain from washing your vehicles, home exterior and driveway
  • Refrain from filling pools, hot tubs or Jacuzzis.
