The Land Use Bylaw controls the use and development of land and buildings in the Town. Effective January 1, 2017, Beaumont has been granted municipal governance over the lands identified as Rural Service Area. These lands need to be incorporated into the Town’s Land Use Bylaw. Text and map amendments will have the effect that development in the Rural Service Area follow the decision making procedures, form and fees, enforcement and Land Use Bylaw map of Beaumont’s Land Use Bylaw 796-12; while preserving the definitions, general regulations, signs, parking regulations and land use districts of Leduc County’s Land Use Bylaw 7-08 as at January 1, 2017, until such time as redevelopment in the Rural Service Area occurs that is not permitted by Leduc County’s Land Use Bylaw.
A Public Hearing, Second Reading, and Third Reading will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers of the Beaumont Administration Office. Comments on this Bylaw can be made at the Public Hearing. You are encouraged to attend this meeting if you wish to make an oral presentation to Council or to hear what others have to say. Written submissions will be accepted until noon on Tuesday, February 28, 2017.
