The Council of the City of Beaumont is holding a non-statutory Public Hearing for Bylaw 945-19 to adopt the Beaumont Off-Site Levy Bylaw. The purpose of Bylaw 945-19 is to repeal and replace the current Off-Site Levy Bylaw 830-14, and it is applicable to lands subdivided or developed within the City of Beaumont. Off-site levies are a tool provided in the Municipal Government Act that enables municipalities to capture the costs of growth for new infrastructure at the time of subdivision and development.
The non-statutory Public Hearing will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 6:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City of Beaumont Administration Office located at 5600 - 49 Street, Beaumont AB.

Procedure at the Public Hearing:
1) Presentation of the purpose and effect of the Bylaw. 2) Council will hear: a) any person or group of persons acting on his or their behalf who claim to be affected by the proposed Bylaw; b) any other person who wishes to make a presentation and whom the Council agrees to hear.
All written submissions received by the Supervisor, Legislative Services of the Beaumont on or before noon on July 9, 2019 will be recognized prior to any oral submissions.
