Here’s what’s happening around Beaumont for construction and maintenance work this week:

  • Parking restrictions – École Beau Meadow School: No parking on the east side of 44 Street to 50 Avenue daily from May 5 to 12, 8:30 am to 5 pm for portable relocation.
  • Le Rêve traffic lights: Traffic light installation and activation is ongoing at 50 Street and Le Rêve Drive.
  • Street sweeping: Crews are sweeping main roads this week before moving into the northeast quadrant. Read more and see the 2026 schedule >>
  • Pothole repairs: Crews are working on permanent pothole repairs throughout the city. Please slow down and watch for temporary barricades. Learn more about pothole repairs >>
  • Pathway construction – 30 Avenue: A contractor is completing the pathway connection on 30 Avenue between 60 Street and Duval Crescent. Watch for construction traffic and vehicles parked along the road. Flaggers will direct traffic during peak times.
  • Road closure – Eaglemont: 64 Street near 54 Avenue in Eaglemont is closed on May 4&5 (weather permitting) for sewer servicing work. Follow detour signs along Rue Eaglemont and 55 Avenue. Impacted homeowners received direct notices.
  • Fire hydrant replacements – Beauville: One-day hydrant replacements are happening this week. Watch for temporary sidewalk detours and parking restrictions.
  • Sidewalk repairs – Parklane and Brookside: Crews will be out doing assessments and sidewalk repairs. Please obey temporary sidewalk closures in place.
  • Fence replacement – 50 Street: Crews are replacing the municipal fence between 30 Avenue and 32 Avenue on the east side of 50 Street. Nearby residents received notices and impacts will be minimal.
  • Construction traffic – 50 Street: Expect heavy machinery and trucks crossing 50 Street near McDonald’s and Petro Canada during commercial construction work.
