Here’s what’s happening around Beaumont for construction and maintenance work this week:

New projects/updates:

  • 50 Avenue water feedline construction: Starting the week of May 25, 50 Avenue from 47 Street to 57 Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction to install a new water feedline underground. Work will continue until the end of October.
  • Street sweeping: Crews continue sweeping in the SE quadrant and will move into the SW quadrant later this week. Read more and see the 2026 schedule >>
  • Asphalt repair – 50 Street: A contractor is completing asphalt repairs on the south end of 50 Street between 30 Avenue and 43 Avenue. Please watch for signs and temporary lane closures.
  • Tree planting: The Parks team is planting trees in Juneau Park and around the stormwater pond near École Quatre-Saisons School this week.
  • Changeroom maintenance at Beaumont Sports and Recreation Centre (BSRC): Aquatic changerooms are closed for scheduled maintenance between May 25–26. Please follow the posted signage.
