Active Commuting updatesConstruction updates Here’s what’s happening around Beaumont for construction and maintenance work this week: Le Rêve traffic light installation: Work continues to install and activate traffic lights at the intersection of 50 Street and Le Rêve Drive. Sidewalk closure – 30 Avenue: The north sidewalk on 30 Avenue between 55 and 60 Street is closed until May 4. Use the south sidewalk to detour. Construction vehicle crossing – 50 Street near McDonald’s: Commercial development near McDonald’s and Petro‑Canada will require construction trucks to cross 50 Street. Drivers are asked to drive with caution through the area and watch for trucks crossing onto the roadway. Pothole repairs: Crews are doing temporary pothole cold patch repairs in prioritized areas, weather permitting. Once the weather warms up and street sweeping is completed, permanent hot patch repairs will begin.
