Active Commuting updatesConstruction updates With the snow melting and spring on its way, here’s what crews and contractors are working on this week in Beaumont: Le Rêve traffic light installation: Work continues to install traffic lights at the intersection of 50 Street and Le Rêve Drive. Road closure – Eaglemont: On April 13, 64 Street near 54 Avenue in Eaglemont is closed for sewer servicing work. Follow detour signs along Rue Eaglemont and 55 Avenue. Impacted homeowners received direct notices. Spring clean-up: Crews are sweeping municipal parking lots, trails and are anticipated to start sweeping major roads this week, weather permitting. Sidewalk and parking lane closure near Dansearau Landing: The east sidewalk and parking lane on Dansereau Way near 62 Avenue, as well as the north sidewalk and parking lane on 62 Ave approaching Dansereau Landing, will be closed until April 20 while underground utility work and siding installation is completed for a private property. Pedestrians can access the west and north sidewalks during the closure. Pothole repairs: Crews are doing temporary pothole cold patch repairs in prioritized areas, weather permitting. Once the weather warms up and street sweeping is completed, permanent hot patch repairs will begin.
