As part of the ongoing work to maintain Beaumont’s streets and keep traffic moving safely, the City is resurfacing 50 Street, from 52 Avenue to the intersection near Tim Hortons and CIBC. This section of 50 Street was identified for resurfacing through the City’s regular review of road conditions, and the work is part of the arterial road resurfacing approved in the 2026 capital budget. The section of road is showing signs of wear. Resurfacing it will address those issues and help prevent more expensive repairs in the future.

Lane closures will be needed starting from the week of July 20, and construction is expected to continue through August, depending on the weather. Two-way traffic will remain open during construction, but drivers should expect some delays. Drivers are asked to follow the signs and give themselves a bit of extra time.

The City will work with the contractor to reduce disruptions where possible and will share updates through mobile message boards, the City website and social media.
