A contractor will begin work on May 19, and temporary lane closures will be in place while repairs are done. Timeline: May 19 to May 30, subject to weather and unexpected construction delays. Project impacts: The northbound left lane and left-turn lane on 50 Street north of Coloniale Way will be closed during the project. The right-hand northbound lane on 50 Street near Coloniale Way will remain open. Traffic will merge into this lane just before the Coloniale Way intersection. Residents may experience slight travel delays, particularly during peak travel times. Please allow extra time when passing through the area. What to expect: Electronic message boards will be placed on 50 Street ahead of May 19 to provide notice to drivers. All nearby businesses remain fully accessible throughout the project. Access to Coloniale Way will not be affected. Construction will comply with the City’s noise restrictions and work hours outlined in the Community Standards Bylaw. Please follow all posted signage and drive with care through the construction zone.
