City of Beaumont is pleased to announce that Beaumont Fire Services has received a $7,500 grant from Enbridge’s Safe Community First Responder Program to upgrade emergency communications equipment to the Alberta First Responders Radio Communications System (AFRRCS).
This grant allows the City to purchase eight G-Series P25 voice pagers, with City of Beaumont investing in a further 22 pagers for a total of 30 devices, enough for all Fire Services members to carry.
The upgraded pagers allow Beaumont Fire Services members to more efficiently and safely work with other jurisdictions during emergencies and use industry standard technology.
