The Council of the City of Beaumont is holding a non-statutory Public Hearing to consider an amendment to the Triomphe Estates Outline Plan. The Public Hearing is to be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Beaumont Administration Office, located at 5600 49 Street, Beaumont. It may also be viewed online at www.youtube.com/c/BeaumontAbCaT4X.
An Outline Plan is a non-statutory plan that provides guidance for land development. This amendment application is to modify the planned roadway network in the southeast corner of the Triomphe Estates neighbourhood, located west of Range Road 241 and south of the Forest Heights neighbourhood.
Any person who wishes to present to Council during the public hearing must pre-register with the City Clerk’s Office, city.clerk@beaumont.ab.ca or 780-929-1352, before 12:00 noon on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. Written submissions may be provided to the City Clerk’s Office at 5600 49 Street, Beaumont AB T4X 1A1 or via email, clearly labelled “Re: Triomphe Estates Outline Plan Amendment Public Hearing.” Submissions received by 12:00 noon on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 will be included in the agenda package. Submissions received after this date will be read into the public record prior to any oral presentations.
The personal information in submissions is collected under the authority of the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, S. 33(c) for the purpose of public participation in decision making. It will be publicly available in accordance with S. 40(1) of the Act. The proposed amendment will be available in the agenda package of the May 10, 2022 Council Meeting at https://beaumontab.civicweb.net/portal/.
Procedure at the Public Hearing:
- Administration will present the purpose and effect of the proposed amendment.
- Council will hear:
- any person or group of persons acting on their behalf who claim to be affected by the proposed amendment and have registered to make a presentation;
- any other person who has registered to make a presentation and whom Council agrees to hear.
