On Dec. 11, 2021, Beaumont RCMP held their second annual Stuff a Cruiser event in support of the Leduc and District Food Bank. Beaumont RCMP partnered with City of Beaumont peace officers and Leduc County peace officers at two grocery stores in Beaumont, where food and cash donations were collected to stuff a cruiser.

“As a team, we collected 2,786 pounds of food and raised over $4,828 to support the local food bank. The food collected exceeded last years amount collected by over 300 pounds. The food and money that was donated will make a huge difference for many families in the community. It was extremely heartwarming to see our community come together to support the Leduc and District Food Bank,” says Constable Cheri-Lee Smith.

Beaumont RCMP, City of Beaumont peace officers and Leduc County peace officers would like to thank everyone in the community who came out to support this event, as well as Sobeys and Jeb’s No Frills for their matching donations and support of the Leduc and District Food Bank.

Beaumont residents are encouraged to view the RCMP Crime Mapping tool and can access the map through the City of Beaumont’s website at https://www.beaumont.ab.ca/532/Beaumont-RCMP-Crime-Map.

The Beaumont RCMP encourages the public to report all criminal and suspicious activity. In case of an emergency, call 911, for non-urgent reports call the Beaumont RCMP Detachment complaint line 780-929-7400.
