As part of the new Le Rêve neighbourhood development in Beaumont’s northeast corner, the developer will be starting construction along 50 Street, Coloniale Way and Township Road 510. This construction will provide connected underground utilities for the future homes and businesses that will be located in Le Rêve.
Preliminary details of road traffic disruptions include:
50 Street: From October 4 to October 25, traffic on 50 Street will be reduced to one lane each direction. Access to the commercial area on the west side of 50 Street will remain open.
Coloniale Way: From October 6 to October 25, Coloniale Way westbound will be closed due to construction at the intersection with 50 Street. To access 50 Street, turn south at the four-way stop onto Rue Bouchard. Turn west onto 55 Avenue until 50 Street.
Township Road 510: There will be a one-day closure, tentatively scheduled for October 14. Township Road 510 westbound will be closed (except to local traffic) to due construction at the intersection with 50 Street. To detour, proceed south on 50 Street until 50 Avenue. Turn east on 50 Avenue until Range Road 241. At Range Road 241, turn north until Township Road 510.
As a courtesy, the City of Beaumont has provided a Google map outlining the traffic disruptions. Please note that exact construction dates may change.
To minimize noise and disruption to residents, construction hours will be limited to 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays and statutory holidays. Please drive with caution through all construction zones, as there will be open excavations.
Park-Aid Asphalt and Maintenance Ltd., the contractor that is doing the construction, will provide detour signage as well as direct communications with organizations and residents located immediately adjacent to this construction.
Residents and businesses with questions should direct them to the project manager of this construction:
