Royer Way

47 Avenue, West of 36 Street will now carry the honourary name Royer Way. The residents of this cul de sac in Forest Heights came together to apply to the City for the honourary street name in tribute to Dennis Royer. Mr. Royer developed this street to be a community within a community, along with many other areas throughout Beaumont. The Royer family have lived in the area we now call Beaumont since the 1890s and they helped build the foundation of the strong community Beaumont is today. There are even some reports that the Royer family suggested the name Beaumont.

Please note, this is an honourary name and the mailing address for houses on this street does not change.
