Beaumont, AB – Mayor Camille Bérubé is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Kerry Hilts as interim CAO for Beaumont. Mr. Hilts has been General Manager of Community and Protective Services since November 2015. His appointment is expected to remain in place until a permanent CAO is hired.
“I am pleased that Mr. Hilts has agreed to take on the position of CAO for the interim,” said Mayor Bérubé. “As elected officials, we have had the pleasure of working closely with Mr. Hilts and we have come to appreciate his leadership qualities and his ability to manage important projects.”
Mr. Hilts has over 25 years of municipal government experience working in various capacities in Saskatchewan, British Columbia and now Alberta. He is a lifelong learner who believes in offering great public service to the residents of which he serves.
“I’m looking forward to the challenge of providing leadership for this fine organization, and contributing to making life better for Beaumont,” Mr. Hilts said. “I have a great deal of respect for my colleagues. I know that I work with very capable people who have passion for what they do, so we will continue our progress toward improving the customer service experience for residents of Beaumont.”
Mr. Hilts’ appointment became effective April 14, 2017.
