New Tennis & Pickleball Court Resurfacing Survey

Public engagement noticeRec updates

The City of Beaumont is seeking community feedback on the proposed court line configuration and colour layout for the resurfacing of the existing tennis courts at 5007 55 Ave, near Parc Gobeil Park. This short public engagement will help validate visibility, playability and overall user experience for the updated court design.

This engagement includes two visuals for review:

Image #1: The image shown below is for conceptual illustrative purposes only. It shows the proposed court line layout and colours that would be added to the existing courts.

Image #2: The image below compares the current court layout with the proposed resurfaced layout. It shows all four tennis courts and highlights the north courts with added lines for shared pickleball use. This creates a total of 6 pickleball courts while keeping the existing tennis court layout. It allows both sports to be played at the same facility, making better use of the courts so more residents can enjoy them.

These visuals show residents how the proposed resurfacing applies to the existing courts. Residents, tennis players, and pickleball users are invited to complete a short survey between May 14 and May 22, 2026.

Why your input matters

Your feedback will help the City understand:

  • Whether court lines are clearly visible during play
  • If there are any concerns with contrast or court markings
  • Overall confidence using the proposed court layout
  • Any significant usability concerns prior to resurfacing work

Timeline highlights:

  • May 14: Survey launch
  • May 14–22: Online survey available, on-site QR codes, digital screens and social media promotion
  • May 22: Survey closes

The survey is short and focused on user experience and playability. Your feedback will help support final resurfacing decisions while keeping the project on track for construction this summer.
