Beaumont’s e-scooter pilot program is transitioning to a new operator. Neuron Mobility, the current vendor, has been acquired by Lime, and Lime will be taking over operation of the e-scooter fleet in Beaumont.

What’s happening and when

  • Neuron scooters will be removed from Beaumont streets on the evening of Friday, July 3.
  • Lime scooters are expected to be deployed the week of July 6.
  • E-scooters will not be available in the city during this short gap. Your patience is appreciated while the transition takes place.

What stays the same

The pilot program itself is not changing. The same rules apply, including where scooters can be ridden and parked, designated parking areas and posted speed limits. The program continues to run through the end of October as planned.

What riders need to know

  • Once Lime scooters are deployed, riders can download the Lime app to get started.
  • Existing Neuron accounts will not carry over to Lime.
  • Riders with Neuron credits or an active subscription will be refunded directly by Neuron. Questions or concerns about a refund should go to Neuron directly.
  • Pricing under Lime may differ from current Neuron rates. Full pricing details will be available once Lime scooters are deployed.
  • Once Lime scooters are deployed, riders can download the Lime app to get started.
