Place up to two large items during your waste collection pickup from May 25 to 29 and crews will do the heavy lifting for you. Please follow the guidelines below so your items make it from the curb to the landfill without any issues: Large item collection details Pick-up dates: May 25 to May 29, 2026 Location: Items must be placed at the front of your property for pickup, even if your waste collection is normally picked up in the back alley. Item limit: Maximum of two (2) large items per household Timing: All items must be left out by 7 am on your regular waste collection day Item requirements and allowed items To help crews safely handle your large items, they must meet the following requirements: Weight: Items must be less than 200 lbs (90 kg) Size: Items cannot be larger than 6 feet by 3 ft (1.8 m by 0.9 m) See the full list of items that are accepted on the waste and recycling page. Other tips: Tag it: Tag items like lawnmowers, bicycles or sports nets so crews know they are being left out for disposal. Multiple trucks handle different items; don’t worry if one item is left behind; a different truck will come along to pick up the other item.
