The City of Beaumont invites residents to gather on November 11 for the annual Remembrance Day ceremony, which will include the formal dedication of Beaumont’s new cenotaph at the Beaumont Sport and Recreation Centre (BSRC).

Unable to attend in person? Watch the ceremony live on YouTube.

The 2026 ceremony will take place outdoors in the BSRC parking lot rather than inside the BSRC Field House. Residents attending in person are encouraged to dress for November weather and be prepared to stand outdoors for the duration of the ceremony.

The new cenotaph represents an important milestone for the community, creating a dedicated, permanent place to remember and honour those who have served and sacrificed for Canada. During the ceremony, the cenotaph will be consecrated, a formal act of dedicating the site as a place of remembrance, reflection and honour.
