Snow Clearing - Parking Lots

As snow accumulates on Beaumont’s parking lots, we begin by plowing for access as per our Roadway Snow Plowing service level.

Clearing of the entire parking lot is a combined effort between Operations and Parks Service Areas. Here are the breakdown of responsibilities:

Public Works Parks
1City Hall/LibraryFire Hall
2Operations FacilityRoyal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)
3After School Care
(~12 stalls beside Beau Meadow school)
Centre Communautaire Beaumont Community Centre (CCBCC)
Asphalt Parking Lot Area
4Centre Communautaire Beaumont Community Centre (CCBCC) Overflow Parking Lot (Gravel)Beaumont Sport and Recreational Centre (BSRC)

6Four Seasons Park Parking Lot (South)Ken Nichol Regional Recreational Centre (KNRRC)
Early Learning Child Care Centre (ELCC)
7Four Seasons Park Parking Lot (North)
8Clearwater Cemetery

When parking lots have a large snow pile or time becomes available, snow is hauled to the designated snow storage site by the responsible party for the parking lot. Operations will strive to help as much as possible and limit the amount of hauling that contractors do.

Beaumont will strive for two (2) service levels of priorities for Beaumont owned parking lots prioritized by usage:
