Water bans Jun 09, 2025 4:09 pm - Jun 13, 2025 11:59 am UPDATE: The Water Conservation Advisory (issued on June 9 at 4:09 pm) has officially been lifted. With weather conditions improving and overall water demand now stabilized, the Capital Region Southwest Water Services Commission (CRSWSC) has confirmed the advisory can be removed. Four Seasons Spray Park will resume regular hours of 10 am to 8 pm daily, beginning today. We want to thank all residents for taking voluntary steps to reduce water use during the advisory. These actions helped maintain system stability and kept supply available for essential needs like drinking water and firefighting. Water conservation advisories are issued as proactive measures to protect the long-term supply. While this advisory is no longer in effect, we encourage residents to continue using water responsibly as summer conditions evolve. See water conservation tips >> The Capital Region Southwest Water Services Commission (CRSWSC), which supplies water to the City of Beaumont and surrounding municipalities, has advised member communities to implement a Water Conservation Advisory. This recommendation is a precautionary measure in response to hot and dry weather conditions that are placing increased demand on the regional water system. While there is no immediate risk to the water supply, the advisory supports regional conservation efforts as these conditions continue. What the City is doing Beaumont has already taken action to limit non-essential water use across its operations. These changes include suspending: Flushing of water and sewer mains Firefighting training that requires water Street cleaning and vehicle washing Irrigation of parks (except essential areas and flowerbeds) Use of hydrant meters Commissioning activities for private development and infrastructure Additionally, Four Seasons Spray Park hours will be adjusted to 1 to 6 pm (from the usual 10 am to 7:30 pm). This change allows the park to stay open during peak heat and after work hours while supporting water conservation. How residents can help While this is not a mandatory water restriction, residents are strongly encouraged to reduce their water use during this time. Small changes can make a big difference: Take shorter showers Turn off taps while brushing teeth or shaving Delay laundry and dishwashing where possible Avoid watering lawns or washing vehicles Refrain from filling pools, hot tubs or sprinklers This advisory will remain in place until further notice. The City will provide updates as more information becomes available from the CRSWSC. Thanks for doing your part to keep things flowing! See water conservation tips >>
