Building Permit Inspections

The purpose of building inspections is to check for compliance with the Safety Codes Act, all related building codes, standards and applicable bylaws

New home inspection stages

It’s the responsibility of the property owner, builder or contractor to arrange for applicable inspections. Please review the table below for stages, type of inspection required, and key notes for each component.

Stage 3 Foundation and weeping tile Before backfilling 72 hours notice needed (minimum) Hydronic heating rough in is inspected prior to pouring concrete floor or covering. buildinginspection@beaumont.ab.ca
Stage 4 Framing Before insulating 72 hours notice needed (minimum) HVAC will be inspected at the framing or insulation stage buildinginspection@beaumont.ab.ca
Stage 5 Insulation Before drywalling 72 hours notice needed (minimum) Additional inspections may be required i.e. basement, etc. buildinginspection@beaumont.ab.ca
