World Town Planning Day – November 8, 2025

WHEREAS, since its inception is 1949, World Town Planning Day is celebrated in more than 30 countries around the world; 

AND WHEREAS, World Town Planning Day highlights the valuable contributions that sound planning makes to the quality of our communities; 

AND WHEREAS, Beaumont’s vision to be a vibrant, inclusive, livable, and sustainable community requires deliberate, wise and strategic planning decisions; 

AND WHEREAS, World Town Planning Day also serves as a reminder of the importance for all citizens to engage in building stronger, smarter communities; 

AND WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont recognizes the valuable contributions of urban planners in in Planning and Development and their commitment to our community; 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT I, Mayor Lisa Vanderkwaak, do hereby proclaim November 8, 2025 as:
