Proclamations have been signed by Mayor Lisa Vanderkwaak, containing messages of importance, interest or benefit to citizens of Beaumont.


WHEREAS, many Canadians do not have a safe and stable place to call home, including prior to the declaration of homelessness being a national emergency in 1998; 

AND WHEREAS, the right to safe and affordable housing is a fundamental human right, essential to the well-being and dignity of every individual; 

AND WHEREAS, safe and secure housing plays a crucial role in building a thriving community, by which people and families have stability to flourish and children to learn and grow; 

AND WHEREAS, National Housing Day is an opportunity to raise awareness about housing issues, promoting dialogue, and inspiring collective action; and to appreciate the efforts made in eradicating homelessness and to improve access to safe, adequate, and affordable housing for all Canadians. 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT I, Mayor Lisa Vanderkwaak, do hereby proclaim November 22, 2025 as:
