Council Posted on: June 14, 2025 Proclamations have been signed by Mayor Bill Daneluik, containing messages of importance, interest or benefit to citizens of Beaumont. WHEREAS, Lemonade Day is a fun, community-based program that teaches youth the fundamentals of entrepreneurship through the time-honored tradition of operating a lemonade stand; AND WHEREAS, the program provides a unique, hands-on learning experience where children, with support from Community Futures Capital Region, parents, mentors, and local organizations, plan, launch, and run their own small business, gaining valuable skills in entrepreneurship, budgeting, marketing, customer service, and responsibility; AND WHEREAS, Lemonade Day encourages community collaboration with local businesses supporting budding entrepreneurs through partnerships such as the “Lemmy Lease,” fostering a spirit of mentorship and economic awareness; AND WHEREAS, Community Futures Capital Region plays a key role in delivering the program in our region, guiding and inspiring the next generation of leaders and business owners through pre-event training and local judging on Lemonade Day; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT I, Mayor Bill Daneluik, do hereby proclaim June 14, 2025 as: LEMONADE DAY.
