Neighbourhood Posted on: September 15, 2025 Beaumont’s Good Neighbour program recognizes individuals who contribute to a safe, connected and friendly community. We’re thrilled to highlight Willy and Bev Peters as one of this year’s recipients! Nominated by their neighbour Kerry Kellington, Willy and Bev are known for their generosity, thoughtfulness, and the many ways they brighten their community. Kerry shared: “I am writing to nominate my wonderful neighbours, Willy and Bev, for the Good Neighbours Recognition Program. Their unwavering kindness and dedication to our community make them truly deserving of this honor. Willy and Bev consistently go above and beyond to help everyone in our cul-de-sac. They tirelessly shovel snow for us and other neighbours, ensuring our driveways are clear and safe. They also bring back our garbage bins, saving us the hassle and showing their thoughtfulness. Willy, a retired plumber, is always ready to assist with any plumbing needs. His expertise has been invaluable to many of us, and he never hesitates to lend a hand. Their generosity extends to our children, who adore them, especially with their beautifully decorated home during the holidays. They also take it upon themselves to mow the grass on the island in our cul-de-sac, maintaining its beauty for all to enjoy. In summary, Willy and Bev exemplify what it means to be good neighbours. Their selflessness, kindness, and community spirit are truly remarkable.” Congratulations, Willy & Bev! Your thoughtfulness and dedication bring joy, safety, and connection to your neighbourhood — you are truly the heart of community. Do you know someone in your community who deserves recognition? Nominate them for a Good Neighbour award!
