Starting June 12, residents and visitors will have a new way to get around and enjoy the City as part of a two-year pilot project with Neuron Mobility.

Whether you’re heading to the transit centre, grabbing a coffee, or exploring your neighbourhood, e-scooters offer a convenient new way to move through the city.

How it works

E-scooters are available to rent in most areas of Beaumont, anyone 16 years of age or older can ride. Helmets are required for riders under 18 years of age.

To get started:

  • Download the Neuron app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
  • Complete Neuron’s ScootSafe Academy to learn where and how to ride safely in Beaumont.
  • View the live map to find available scooters.
  • Unlock, ride and roll!

Where to ride and park

In response to resident feedback, the City and Neuron have established:

  • Clear riding zones and “no-go” areas.
  • Speed limits in busy areas.
  • Parking areas and guidelines to keep sidewalks and trails clear.

See something wrong? Let Neuron Know

Each e-scooter has a “Scan to Report” QR code on the top of the scooter. Use your phone’s camera to scan it and report the concern directly to Neuron. Concerned citizens can also contact Neuron Mobility by:

Neuron will resolve the concern within two hours of receiving the report.

The e-scooters are operated and funded by Neuron Mobility, who is responsible for maintaining the fleet and responding to issues. The City of Beaumont is supporting the pilot by sharing information and monitoring how the scooters are used in our community.

The City received 282 responses to the online survey in May. Community feedback played a role in shaping the final details of the pilot program.
