Council Posted on: June 1, 2025 Proclamations have been signed by Mayor Bill Daneluik, containing messages of importance, interest or benefit to citizens of Beaumont. WHEREAS, during the month of June, Beaumont celebrates the diversity that strengthens our community; including individuals who identify as Two-Spirit , Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender , Queer and/or Questioning, Intersex, Asexual and all other sexual orientations and gender identities; AND WHEREAS, the intent of Pride Month is to celebrate diversity in Beaumont and to be a safe and welcoming place for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities to attend school, to work, to raise a family, to start a business, and to live; AND WHEREAS, Beaumont Pride promises to provide hope and support for our employees, our youth, and other community members who experience bullying and harassment based on their sexual orientation or gender identity; AND WHEREAS, the Rainbow Pride flag is raised in honour of our 2SLGBTQIA+ employees and community members; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT I, Mayor Bill Daneluik, do hereby proclaim the month of June as: BEAUMONT PRIDE MONTH
