Proclamations have been signed by Mayor Lisa Vanderkwaak, containing messages of importance, interest or benefit to citizens of Beaumont.

WHEREAS, Métis Week is an opportunity to commemorate the legacy of Louis Riel and recognize the sacrifices of all Métis people who continue to strive towards rights and recognition as a distinct nation; 

AND WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont recognizes the important role that Métis people have played in the community and the contributions they continue to make to the City; 

AND WHEREAS, Beaumont’s vision to be a vibrant, inclusive, diverse, livable and sustainable community requires the community to commit to a strong relationship with Métis people and communities across the province; 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT I, Mayor Lisa Vanderkwaak, do hereby proclaim November 15 – 22, 2025 as:
