Increased Construction Site Inspections Underway

Active City updatePlanning & Development

As of March 1, 2026, you may notice more municipal enforcement officers at active construction sites across Beaumont. These inspections cover more than 300 active building sites, including residential and commercial projects.

The City has increased inspections as construction activity picks up this spring. This approach supports clean streets, clear sidewalks and safer neighbourhoods, and aligns with direction from Beaumont City Council to strengthen oversight as the community grows.

What officers are checking

Enforcement officers are focusing on:

  • construction waste and debris staying contained on site
  • sidewalks, boulevards and roadways remaining clear and accessible
  • building materials and excavated soil stored safely
  • sites kept organized and maintained to municipal standards

These requirements are already in place under the Land Use Bylaw, applicable permits and the Community Standards Bylaw. Increased inspections reinforce existing rules as building activity continues across the city.
