Boards & CommitteesPlanning & Development Posted on: December 1, 2025 Beaumont is looking for two new members to join the Beaumont Design Review Committee. The committee provides expert and impartial design advice on development proposals that fall under the Beaumont Urban Design Guidelines. These guidelines support high-quality site and building design and help shape the look and feel of our growing community. Who is a good fit This is a chance for residents and professionals to contribute their knowledge, design awareness or development experience to support thoughtful planning and design in Beaumont. The committee welcomes applicants with experience or interest in areas such as: Architecture Development Urban planning Landscape architecture Industrial or interior design Engineering with design experience Community design, placemaking or related fields There is also space for a member at large. This is someone whose lived experience or community perspective adds insight to discussions. For example, past members have contributed accessibility experience and user-focused perspectives. What to expect The committee meets once a month during regular work hours. The current schedule is the second Tuesday of the month, and this may be adjusted when new members join. Before each meeting, members review the circulated development applications and provide feedback based on the Urban Design Guidelines. Training and orientation are provided, and staff are available for questions, but members are expected to bring their work experience, education or lived experience to contribute in an informed way. Term and eligibility Two vacancies are available for the upcoming term beginning in January 2026. Committee members are asked to commit to a minimum two-year term, and may serve consecutive terms if they choose. How to apply Applications will be accepted from December 1-14, 2025.
