Looking for a safe, engaging space for kids while schools may be closed due to the teachers’ strike? A new Kids Drop-In Program provides just that for children aged 8–13, giving parents peace of mind and promoting the exciting programs at the Beaumont Sport and Recreation Centre (BSRC). Children under 8 may attend only if accompanied by a guardian.

  • When: Weekdays, 11:00 am to 2:30 pm.
  • Where: Fieldhouse
  • Ages:
    • 8 to 13, unaccompanied
    • 7 and under, with a guardian aged 14+ (guardian is free)
  • Fee: $1 per child per day, payable at Guest Services

Kids will enjoy crafts, games and a variety of activities, all led and supervised by our amazing Summer Programs staff.

Things to note:

  • Programs staff are there to supervise (facilitate play, stop arguments/rough play, give first aid if needed) but not give medication, feed kids or take them to the bathroom.
  • Full drop-in price includes this program, but the $1 fee doesn’t give access to the rest of the BSRC.
  • Program will not run on October 13 because of Thanksgiving and October 14 will be hosted in a different space due to a previous booking. All other changes will be shared via social media.

Give your kids a fun, safe place to play – see you in the Fieldhouse!
