Signage: As part of the new way to keep residents informed about development in the community, signs have been popping up on properties where changes have been proposed or approved. The signs explain what’s being applied for (such as business type, parking, or land use), what’s been approved, and how you can share feedback or file an appeal within the required timelines. Each notice includes the neighbourhood, property location and a clear description of the change. Not every development needs a sign. Signs are posted for developments that need special approval so the neighbourhood can stay informed and share their feedback. Learn more about neighbourhood notification >> Public hearings: These will continue to be advertised in the local newspaper as well as on the City’s public notices. Written notices: Due to the mail service disruption, written notices will no longer be mailed to adjacent landowners as part of the transition to the signage and consistent website updates announced in July 2025.
