FamiliesSpecial event Posted on: November 24, 2025 Brighten Up Beaumont is back December 13 with a new location at the heart of the city and updated hours, along with all of the favourite family activities. This year’s festivities take place at Beaumont City Hall and the Bibliothèque de Beaumont Library (5600 49 St) from 2 to 6 pm. The new location and earlier start reflect feedback from families and provides more accessibility. “Hosting the event in the heart of the city and adjusting the hours gives families the best of both worlds and the opportunity for more programming and activities in partnership with the library” said Jasmine Elniski, Arts and Events Team Lead. “Kids can enjoy the activities earlier in the day, everyone can still experience the lights as dusk settles in, and families can finish close to Centre-Ville, where food, drinks and local shopping are only a few steps away.” Brighten Up Beaumont will feature a range of activities, including: Photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus Free hot chocolate and maple taffy Horse-drawn carriage rides Ice carving Winter crafts for children Parking is available at the Ken Nichol Regional Recreation Centre and École J.E. Lapointe School. This year, Brighten Up Beaumont is proud to partner with the newly renovated Bibliothèque de Beaumont Library and the Beaumont Nisku Christmas Elves. The Library will serve as a drop-off location for toy donations, giving residents the chance to bring joy to local children by contributing a new, unwrapped gift.
