Report Highlights Council and City Achievements in 2024

From securing a new high school site to bringing more businesses to the community, Beaumont has a lengthy list of accomplishments from 2024.

The 2024 Report to the Community provides residents with an overview of the many initiatives and projects undertaken in the past year, as well as progress on the aspirations in the Council Strategic Plan Building Our Tomorrow, Today which charts a course for the community.

“This report is an opportunity to take stock of everything we got done in 2024 to keep Beaumont a safe, welcoming, and healthy community,” said Mayor Bill Daneluik. “Among the many achievements, we saw significant business growth, confirmed a high school site to accommodate our students, and continued to provide a range of top-notch services and programs for Beaumont’s families.”

Among the many activities in 2024, City Council and Administration:

• Celebrated the opening of the new Centre-Ville Park
• Reduced the commercial vacancy rate from 21.3 to 15.4 per cent
• Expanded transit to full-day and weekend service
• Completed a needs assessment with actions to fill health-care gaps in the community
• Launched a new website making it easier for people to find information
