Public Hearing Registration

Register to speak (or submit a written statement) for an upcoming public hearing.

Registration process tips

Please be aware:

  • Each speaker is limited to five minutes, not including time for any questions from Council.
  • Review the public hearing notice and attached documents (if applicable) before registering.
  • Previous submissions to the municipality are not automatically considered and must be resubmitted to be included as part of the upcoming hearing.
  • The names of presenters and the written submissions received become part of the public record. Written submissions are made available as part of the minutes posted under “Past Meetings” on the Council Agendas & Meetings page. Other personal information is protected by the privacy provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act or any successor legislation.
  • Information, statements and documents submitted to the City of Beaumont outside of this form (or emailing the City Clerk) will not be considered.

Registration deadlines:
Late submissions will not be considered by Council.

  • Submit files (presentation slides, supporting documents) or a written statement: by noon on the previous business day of the hearing.
  • Register to present virtually/remotely: by 4 pm on the previous business day of the hearing.
  • Register to speak in-person: in advance of the hearing or in-person at the hearing.
For example, registration for a public hearing happening on a Tuesday after a stat holiday must be submitted by the times indicated on the previous Friday.

Files can be submitted after registration, to the City Clerk at Legislative@beaumont.ab.ca, as long you meet the submission deadline of noon on the business day before the public hearing. Late submissions will not be considered by Council.
