Stolen licence plates are commonly used in property crimes, including vehicle theft and theft from property. Installing tamper-resistant screws makes it harder for someone to remove your plate quickly and misuse it.

RCMP Beaumont and Citizens on Patrol are inviting residents to drive through and have locking screws installed on their licence plates, completely free of charge. The setup is quick and easy, and you won’t need to leave your vehicle.

What to expect:

• Tamper-resistant screws installed using a specialized tool
• You stay in your vehicle the entire time
• The process takes just a few minutes
• No cost and no registration required
• Open to all Beaumont residents
