Celebrate Black History Month: An Evening of Art & Resilience
Looking for a night of inspiration and culture right here in Beaumont?

Join the Black Impact Alliance Foundation and the Beaumont Library for a special Meet the Artist Night featuring the incredibly talented Ola Bolarinwa.

This isn’t just an art show; it’s a journey into the soul of hyperrealism. After a decade-long hiatus, Ola returned to his craft during the pandemic, finding solace in the meticulous detail of charcoal and graphite. His work is a stunning tribute to Black pride, identity, and the intricate beauty of the human experience.

Cost: Free (registration via Eventbrite recommended)

Meet Ola Bolarinwa: Hear directly from the artist about his creative process and how he uses art as a form of “therapeutic storytelling.”

Hyperrealistic mastery: See pieces like “Face of Africa,” a portrait that uses negative space to weave in maps of Africa and South America while raising awareness for Vitiligo.

Celebrate heritage: Immerse yourself in a collection that centers on the resilience and beauty of African culture and people of color.

Find your spark: Whether you’re an aspiring artist or just appreciate a good story, Ola’s message is simple: “Pick up a pencil or pen, ease into it, and take your time.”

“Every time I worked on it, it reminded me of how beautiful black skin is.” — Ola Bolarinwa
