Municipal By-election Unofficial Results
Beaumont, AB – Citizens of Beaumont have voted in a recent by-election and the results are in. Steven vanNieuwkerk, has been elected to the position of Councillor, having received 410 votes.
“Beaumont had an average turnout for by-election,” said Chelaine Winter, Returning Officer for Beaumont. “In total, 1240 voters cast their ballots.”
The table below lists the candidates and the number of votes they received. Elected officials in Beaumont represent all residents as Beaumont does not use the ward system.

“The election results are unofficial until Friday, February 9 at noon,” says Winter. “The Local Authorities Election Act gives candidates this window of opportunity to challenge the results.”
