The Council of the City of Beaumont is holding a Public Hearing for Bylaw 1016-22 to amend Bylaw 944-19 Our Zoning Blueprint: Land Use Bylaw. The Public Hearing is to be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Beaumont Administration Office, located at 5600 49 Street, Beaumont. It may also be viewed at www.youtube.com/c/BeaumontAbCaT4X.
The Land Use Bylaw controls the use and development of land and buildings in Beaumont. The proposed redistricting is to amend the Land Use Bylaw by redistricting portions of SE-26-50-24-4 and Lot 1, Block 1, Plan 072 1688 from Agricultural Holdings District (AH) to Commercial (C), Conventional Neighbourhood (CN) and Integrated Neighbourhood (IN) districts. It is intended to permit future urban development in accordance with the Lakeview Area Structure Plan, accommodating a mix of housing forms and neighbourhood uses.
Any person who wishes to present to Council during the public hearing must pre-register with the City Clerk’s Office, firstname.lastname@example.org or 780-929-1352, before 12:00 noon on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. Written submissions may be provided to the City Clerk’s Office at 5600 49 Street, Beaumont AB T4X 1A1 or via email, clearly labelled “Re: Lakeview Public Hearings.” Submissions received by 12:00 noon on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 will be included in the agenda package. Submissions received after this date will be read into the public record prior to any oral presentations.
The personal information in submissions is collected under the authority of the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, S. 33(c) for the purpose of public participation in decision making. It will be publicly available in accordance with S. 40(1) of the Act.
