Week in review Beaumont RCMP June 21-27, 2021

For the week of June 21 through June 27, 2021, the Beaumont RCMP responded to 72 calls for service. Some of the calls for service included disobey court order, fire prevention act, liquor act, municipal bylaws, mental health act, fraud, suspicious persons/vehicles, assault, traffic collisions, theft under $5,000 and mischief.

The Beaumont RCMP conducted 55 traffic stops, resulting in six charges under the Traffic Safety Act.

Crime prevention calendar for July is reminding the public to secure your yard belongs. Safe-keep and inventory your items left in the yard. If you have the opportunity during your 9 p.m. routine, please secure all items. 

The RCMP is requesting your assistance in identifying anyone suspicious seen or heard around 3:30 a.m. in the area of 30 Avenue and 48 Street on June 27, 2021. The RCMP and Beaumont Fire Department attended a construction dumpster fire where a residence was being renovated. 

The RCMP has been involved in an illegal drug selling investigation. People not living in Beaumont are selling drugs to local residents. The RCMP charged the seller and buyer recently. I encourage you to report all suspicious activity. 

It has been pretty hot out, the RCMP and Community Peace Officers are reminding you not to leave your pets in a hot vehicle.
